What does Vivint mean?

The name Vivint is a combination of two words: "vive," which means to live, and the word "intelligent." And helping consumers live intelligently is what Vivint does best. In fact, Vivint’s goal is to help homeowners create a simple, affordable home management system, where all of their devices work in tandem intelligently to boost safety and energy efficiency.

Founded in 1999, the Provo, Utah, based company was once named APX Alarm. The company changed its name to Vivint in 2011 during a company-wide rebranding. It was then that orange was chosen as the official company color because it reflects Vivint’s straightforward, energetic, friendly, and fresh approach to business.
